Everything you need to know about hardscape installation in the Pacific Northwest — costs, timelines, materials, and more. Don’t see your question? Ask us directly.

Paver patio costs in Western Washington typically range from $18 to $45 per square foot installed, depending on the material, pattern complexity, site preparation required, and access to your yard. Concrete pavers are on the lower end; natural flagstone and bluestone run higher. We provide free on-site estimates so you get an exact number for your specific project.
Most residential paver projects take between 2 and 5 days to complete. A simple walkway might be done in a day; a large patio or full driveway with significant excavation can take up to a week. We give you a realistic timeline during your free estimate and stick to it.
Pavers are individual interlocking units — stone, brick, or concrete — that flex slightly with ground movement, making them far less prone to cracking than poured slabs. When a paver does crack or settle, you replace individual pieces rather than tear up the whole surface. Pavers also offer far more design versatility in pattern, color, and texture. In the Pacific Northwest’s wet climate, pavers tend to hold up exceptionally well.
Pavers are low-maintenance, but not zero-maintenance. We recommend sealing concrete pavers every 3–5 years to protect color and prevent moss growth — especially important in the Pacific Northwest. Natural stone like flagstone and bluestone typically needs sealing less frequently. Re-sanding joints every few years keeps everything locked tight. With basic care, a properly installed paver surface will outlast asphalt or poured concrete.
For driveways, concrete pavers are the most popular choice — they’re rated for vehicle loads, come in a wide range of styles, and are significantly more durable and attractive than asphalt. Permeable pavers are also great for Washington homeowners dealing with drainage requirements or looking to reduce runoff. We’ll recommend the best product for your traffic load, budget, and aesthetic goals.
Yes — retaining walls are one of our core services. We install block wall systems in both decorative and structural applications, from small garden borders to large tiered hillside systems. A well-designed retaining wall controls erosion, creates usable flat space, and adds major curb appeal. We assess drainage, soil conditions, and load requirements on every wall we build.
